Mini Molly Bus Visit

On 4 August 2025, NLB’s Mini Molly Bus visited MK@AG! Stationed at the Primary School, the mobile library welcomed our children onboard, where they had the opportunity to browse and explore a wide selection of books. |
|
|
|
With their library cards and tote bags in hand, the children eagerly looked through the shelves to pick out the stories they would love to bring home and read. |
|
|
| Some children even took the time to sit down with their friends, sharing the joy of reading together and engaging in fun, meaningful conversations about the stories that caught their interest. The lively discussions not only deepened their curiosity but also allowed them to exchange ideas and recommendations with one another. | |
|
|
|
|
|
When they were ready, the children lined up eagerly in front of the librarian to borrow their carefully chosen books to bring home. |
|
The visit to the Mini Molly Bus was truly an enjoyable and memorable experience, leaving the children excited and inspired to continue their reading journey. |
Racial Harmony Day

| As part of MK@AG’s commemoration of Racial Harmony Day, our children had the opportunity to join hands with Anchor Green Primary School for a meaningful and engaging celebration. Together, they participated in a variety of enriching activities that promoted cultural appreciation and unity. These included traditional games such as congkak, crafting mooncakes using clay, and capturing joyful moments at a themed photo booth with fun and colourful props. | |

| To further immerse the children in Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage, they were also introduced to a variety of traditional local snacks during snack time. This included ladoo, ang ku kueh, and kek lapis—treats that represent the diverse cultures that make up our nation. The children thoroughly enjoyed trying the different snacks and engaging in the hands-on activities, making it a truly memorable and meaningful day for all. | |

Hari Raya Celebration
![]() This year’s Hari Raya celebration at MK@AG was filled with joy and cultural discovery! Our children came to school dressed in beautiful traditional Malay attire, such as the Baju Kurung, proudly embracing the spirit of the festive season. They had a wonderful time learning about the significance and traditions of Hari Raya through an engaging and informative presentation by our dedicated teachers. |

After the celebration in class, all the children gathered in the MSD room to celebrate the rest of the event together. There were interactive quizzes and even a fashion show.

| One of the most heartwarming highlights of this year’s event was the incredible support from our parent volunteers. We are truly grateful for the time, effort, and love they poured into their beautiful dance performance. It was a joyful moment that lit up the celebration and brought so much delight to our children. |
K1 Tea Session
![]() As part of our initiative to foster stronger relationships with K1 parents, the K1 teachers hosted a tea session that allowed the children to engage in a meaningful activity with their parents, while interacting with the teachers too. | ||

Following a welcome address by MK@AG’s Centre Head, Ms. Suffi, parents and children took part in an introductory game where they had to guess their teachers' baby photos. They also participated in a sharing session, discussing activities that bring them joy and make them happy.![]() |

| During this Tea Session, parents and children took part in a “Yummy Face” activity. Since the children are learning about feelings and expressions, they had the chance to design their own pancakes using different ingredients to create facial expressions! It was truly heartwarming to see the parents and children working together to craft their pancake masterpieces. |

| To mark this special occasion, parents and children took photos at the photobooth corner after decorating their pancakes. We are incredibly grateful and delighted to have had our K1 parents join us for this tea session, and we look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership in supporting the children’s learning and development. |
K2 Life @ MK

On May 16th, we were delighted to welcome our K2 parents to K2 LIFE @ MK — a workshop-style event designed to support families in preparing for their children’s transition to Primary 1. The morning began with a warm welcome and opening remarks by Anchor Green Primary School Principal, Mr. Wesley Cheong. This was followed by an insightful introduction to the Primary 1 transition process, presented by MK@AG's Centre Head, Ms. Suffi. |

Our K2 teachers shared practical tips and important information to help parents better understand how to support their children during this exciting next phase. Parents actively participated through Padlet, expressing their thoughts and concerns about the transition, and even offered helpful suggestions to fellow parents on how they are currently preparing their children for Primary 1. |

| Mrs. Ivy Chong, Covering Year Head (Lower Primary), also provided valuable insights into what to expect at the Primary 1 level, including an overview of key routines and practices in a primary school setting. All in all, the event was a meaningful and collaborative experience, made even more special by the active engagement of our parent community. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents who joined us. Your presence and participation reflect your commitment to your children’s growth, and we look forward to continuing this journey together as they take their next big step into Primary 1. |
Parents' Day
![]() | On May 9th, the children of MK@AG came together in a joyful celebration of Parents' Day, a special occasion dedicated to honoring the love, care, and support of their parents. With enthusiasm and creativity, the children engaged in meaningful conversations about appreciating parents and engaged in art activities to bring home as gifts for their parents.. |

| Our K1 students poured their feelings into beautifully handcrafted cards, each one carefully decorated with personal touches. These cards were more than just art projects; they were sincere messages of gratitude, filled with love and warmth, showcasing the children's growing understanding of the importance of family and appreciation. | ![]() |
| Meanwhile, the K2 students took a more hands-on approach by crafting vibrant 3D flowers as their tribute. Using their own handprints to form petals and colorful straws as stems, they created thoughtful and imaginative gifts. These handmade flowers were a symbol of their admiration and love, created with both joy and care as a way to honor their parents in a special and memorable way. | |

World Water and Earth Day

At MK@AG, our young learners recently took part in a meaningful celebration of both World Water Day and Earth Day, engaging in a variety of hands-on activities designed to deepen their understanding of environmental responsibility. To start, children were encouraged to bring their own water bottles from home. Throughout the day, they used the water they brought to wash their hands—such as after outdoor play or before snack time—highlighting the importance of conserving water in daily routines. This simple but effective activity helped students become more aware of how much water they use and how small changes can make a big difference. |

Deepavali Celebration
![]() Our school marked the joyous festival of Deepavali with a vibrant celebration that brought together dance, art, games, and food, sparking curiosity and appreciation for Indian culture among our young learners. | |
![]() Children began the day with an energetic Indian dance segment, moving to lively music while learning simple hand gestures and rhythms. Laughter and excitement filled the hall as friends, teachers, and families clapped along. | |

![]() Children explored traditional Indian cultural games from spinning the top, to friendly rounds of Snake and Ladder, and lively hopscotch. These activities encouraged turn taking, coordination, and collaboration while introducing cultural play traditions in a hands on and joyful way. | |

As a class, our young artists worked together to design a colourful rangoli, carefully placing bright coloured sand to form patterns symbolising joy and good fortune. Children also crafted their own paper diyas (oil lamps), learning how lights represent hope and kindness. | ||

K1 Neighbourhood Walk

| As part of our ongoing theme on "The People in Our Neighbourhood," our MK@Anchor Green K1 children recently embarked on a meaningful and engaging Neighbourhood Walk. This experiential learning journey allowed our young learners to deepen their understanding of the important individuals who contribute to the community, including our neighbours and local community helpers. | |

![]() | The walk took place around the Anchorvale neighbourhood, where the children had the opportunity to observe and interact with their surroundings. As they explored the area, they visited various familiar establishments such as the local laundry mart, clinic, and nearby coffee shops. These visits sparked excitement and recognition in many of the children, who eagerly shared personal stories and past experiences about their visits to these places with their families. Throughout the walk, the children were encouraged to be observant, respectful, and curious. They took notice of the different roles people play in the neighbourhood and reflected on how each contributes to the smooth running of the community. |

K2 Field Trip to Gardens by the Bay

| The K2 children at MK@AG recently had the opportunity to embark on an engaging and educational field trip to Gardens by the Bay, enhancing their exploration of one of Singapore’s most notable landmarks. As part of their curriculum, the students were eager to delve into the rich biodiversity that characterises this iconic location, recognising its cultural and environmental significance to the local community. Throughout the visit, the children participated in a guided tour of the Cloud Forest, where they gained valuable insights into the life cycles of various plant species. They learned about the essential roles that animals, such as bees and bats, play in supporting plant growth and maintaining ecological balance. This hands-on experience allowed the students to tap onto their prior knowledge and connect it to real-world examples. |

They discovered the different names and colours of flowers, further deepening their appreciation for the beauty and diversity of nature. It was a delightful and educational outing that the children thoroughly enjoyed, and they look forward to similar experiences in the future. |
