Principal’s Message

Spend some time at Anchor Green, and you’ll notice how deeply we care for our students. We believe that All our students hold Great potential to make a Positive impact on Society.

Our name well epitomises our passion — a school anchored in our nation’s Green movement. Our Applied Learning Programme (ALP) provides rich opportunities for Anchorlites to learn meaningfully through real-world contexts. Through guided inquiry, hands-on experiences and purposeful action, our students develop awareness, skills and attitudes to care for the environment and contribute responsibly to a sustainable future. In recognition of our efforts in sustainability education and environmental stewardship, Anchor Green was honoured with the President’s Award for the Environment in 2017.

At Anchor Green, learning extends well beyond the classroom. Our Anchorlites grow in the i-AGPS domains — Innovation, Aesthetics, coGnitive, Physical, and Socio-moral Emotional. With Innovation as key, we intentionally nurture curiosity and creativity in our Anchorlites. From asking thoughtful questions to exploring ideas and learning from mistakes, our students grow in confidence as they work collaboratively and turn learning into meaningful action — dispositions that prepare them well for a rapidly changing world.

From the early years in Primary 1, our teachers intentionally guide Anchorlites through age‑appropriate, hands‑on learning experiences. We build strong foundations for learning, while nurturing confidence and steadily developing the skills needed for children to take on more complex challenges as they grow.

We desire that each child discovers and develops his or her unique blend of interests and strengths, and thrives as a gracious contributor to the community through learning experiences across our curriculum, co‑curriculum and student development programmes. We value strong partnerships with parents and the wider community. Through our Parents Support Group and school activities, we work closely with families to bring out the best in every child.
